Height Weight Proportion

Height weight proportion is questioned alot today. No two people with the same height and age weigh the same. Everyone’s body is different with a different body type. There is no one number that is a perfect weight for everyone. Those with the same height and age may be built differently; one may have more muscles than the other. Being healthy is different for each individual. You have to take into consideration your height, weight as well as age and other factors.

There is a way that has been created to help figure out is a person is healthy based on height weight proportion. This is call a BMI or body mass index. This is a formula that a lot of doctors use to estimate body fat of patients. The formula to calculate your BMI is your weight (measured in kg) divided by the square of your height (measured in meters).

The number formulated is plotted on a chart and this then tells whether the person is average weight (18.5-24.9), overweight (25-29.9), underweight (18.5 or below) or obese (above 30). The best BMI for you is not always the best for someone in your family or your friends, everyone is different.

Some people’s BMI can be high due to having a larger body frame or a lot of muscles instead of the normal fat. The same goes for someone who is smaller. Someone may have a smaller body frame may have an average BMI but too much fat on the body.

Today height weight proportion is calculated by a BMI (body mass index). This will be different for everyone and will factor in other factors including height, body type, frame and traits you might inherit.
