Usually, I ignore my emotions, but I didn’t always have Great Expectations for my dating life. Here’s the scoup, this morning I broke my resolution and smoked two packs of cigarettes. As a coping mechanism of datelessness, of course. That actually happened. Is that even legal? Well, that’s when I honestly thought about getting out to date in Denver or Dallas.

I already knew the solution. I can mix up my social life at Great Expectations Denver. Definitely turned out to be my golden ticket. Why do I bring it up? When I was a little tipsy at my boy’s t-ball game in Dallas last week, Jim had to know if I’ve met my soulmate. At first I didn’t know what to say to that. I didn’t want to answer, but then laughed, “I’m working on it, chill out.”

And of course The Old Tooter (aka: grandpa) continued harping along the lines of marriage. I said to the family gang: “Dating isn’t for me, but do you even know me?”

You know what? They smiled politely. Irritated, I called Dave so I could clear my head. That didn’t help! I can’t imagine what I was thinking there. Doug, who wrote to me from Egypt, recommended that I mingle at singles events by Great Expectations. I said, “You know, that’s a good idea.” But it really was a good idea. I am truly grateful for the Dallas dating service Great Expectations.

At the time, dating events were kinda foreign because I’m a traditionalist of sorts. This was all really foreign to me, and then I started getting butterflies in my stomach. My slip up didn’t pull the plug on a great time. That night I enjoyed was full of crazy-fun mingling. The host was incredible and I’ll always remember the attractive, single women.

It’s been a pleasure to party at these splendid Great Expectations Dallas singles events and mixers, I got in touch with a collection of dynamite friends who certainly share a like-minded spirit which made for a magnificent singles event. I really shouldn’t allow so many people give me a hard time about being single. Amazingly enough, dating the Great Expectations way is a lot of fun and a remarkably refreshing dating experience.
